The email address diseases@dh.gov.hk is designated for receiving disease notifications to CENO. Please do not use it for testing or enquiry. For enquiry about notification procedures and CENO On-line, please send your email to cdssinfo@dh.gov.hk

We advise you to use digital signature and encryption if you choose to notify CENO by sending email to diseases@dh.gov.hk. This is to protect patient's information from unauthorized interception or modification. You also have a responsibility to ensure laws are not broken when composing or forwarding e-mails and their contents.

The following is an example to illustrate how Doctor ABC with an e-Cert can send an email with digital signature and encryption to diseases@dh.gov.hk using Microsoft Outlook.

Step 1.
Doctor ABC imports his e-Cert into his web-browser.

Step 2.
Doctor ABC goes to the Hongkong Post website to accept his e-Cert.

Step 3.
Doctor ABC goes to the Hongkong Post website to search and download the Public Key of CENO, and then import it into his web-browser.

Step 4.
Doctor ABC adds CENO's Public Key as a new contact in his Microsoft Outlook.

Step 5.
Doctor ABC clicks the Signature icon and Encryption icon before sending an email to diseases@dh.gov.hk
